i would like to announce the (self) release of my album: the order of things. you can listen for free...and you can download the entire album also for free. if you want to dl the entire thing, just click dl and you will be asked how much you want to pay (its a pay what you want kind of deal) you may enter 0.00 and you will begin a free download.

if you like the music...it would be appreciated if you like my facebook page and maybe say hi in my guestbook.

all infos and links can be found here:

    thanks..and enjoy!

p.s. - mods, i apologize if this is is the wrong forum, those rules are a bit tricky to figure out...feel free to move it.

Here's a fun perception of time experiment you can do on your own: find a clock that counts seconds. Look away from it, at something that's a different distance so that your eyes refocus, then look back at the clock. If you do this a few times, you'll probably notice that sometimes the second hand/digits seem to hang on the same value for slightly longer than a second, as if the clock only starts ticking after it notices that it's being watched. Do you know why? Hint:

It has nothing to do with motherboards.

    lol

i have noticed that on my own before. i figured it had something to do with the refocusing of the eyes. maybe you miss a tick while your eyes refocus so it seems like it takes whatever the difference is you missed between ticks longer? i dont know...just guessing.

i used to be a competitive runner, and because of that i developed a very accurate internal clock. i can count off a minute in my head within 2 seconds, or can usually, accurately (within about 3 minutes) guess the current time many many hours after the last time i looked at a clock.

  3. i saw an interesting experiment once involving how we experience time.

a man had a device on his wrist that would display numbers, it was set to display the numbers too quickly to be able to read. the man then jumped off a very high platform (he was going to land on an air bag, like stunt people do in movies). it was determined that during free fall, he could easily make out the numbers that were previously changing too fast to make out.

he experienced time more slowly. im not saying that time actually moved slower, but that his experience of it was slower, probably due to adrenaline. the real purpose was to demonstrate that, in times of stress, when people say things like "time seemed to slow down", they arent just making it up, its not just a feeling they have. for them, in that moment, time did slow down.

it has also been shown that young people experience time slower than older people. not entirely scientific i admit, but groups of people of varying ages were asked to count off 60 seconds in their heads (without being able to see a clock). young people consistently counted off a minute as being longer than it is and older people consistently counted it off as shorter than it is.

so great...the closer you are to death, the faster it approaches. yay

if i recall correctly is was brian cox doing the experiments for a tv show...but i cant find it on youtube.

They are a page back in this thread. ouroboros, you know how much I know about the so called physical reality?

i only know what i read here radi, but using the phrase "so called physical reality", speaks volumes on its own.

the lens flare has now been explained to you by several people, you have been shown other examples of it, the experiment of taking pictures in portrait mode showed exactly what it should have if the dirty/scratched lens hypothesis was right, not to mention the utter ridiculousness of your original claim. everything points to a simple lens flare and not a magic piece of old computer hardware...and still you refuse to hear anything.

im not a psychiatrist, but radi you are showing classic signs of a delusional psychiatric disorder. i said it before and ill say it again:

    go see a doctor

  5. i always find it amusing when people who clearly know nothing of science make claims on the validity of the science they know nothing about.

as far as my "insultive" language, no...i had put it aside for quite some time radi...i even came to your defense on an occasion or two. no more. im through holding my tongue with you. you are a cancer here, nearly every topic you are involved in becomes a fight. you are an abrasive, stubborn, aggressive, insulting, arrogant, pompous, rude, egocentric, psychopathic ass.

you have little knowledge of how the world functions, either inter-personally or physically.

if you enjoy your own personal "reality" so much, why dont you stay there and stop invading ours?

  6.

Ouroboros, remember that someone who claims you to be a reality addict will never listen to anything you about "obvious", "This is a fact", "this is proven" or "laws of physics" because people who don't believe in reality not need to care about what is obvious or what follows the laws of physics.

If Radi believes that his motherboard is secretly plotting against the universe in a dastardly attempt to bend the light south just because Radi didn't go to his Grandmother's birthday party, you are never going to convince him with facts or laws of nature because that is reality and Radi is not addicted to reality so therefore can believe whatever he wants.

Many people here don't believe that Radi is a real person. His protestations fall on deaf ears because they are also not reality addicts and a perfectly content to believe that Radi is a figment of their imagination, Simon Posfords acid damaged psyche given form or rich kid with too much time on his hands, or Pavel, still not convinced it's not pavel.

you are absolutely right. im just getting sick of his shenanigans. the guy complains about this forum, and is oblivious to the fact that he is a main contributor to its downfall. im sick of him...and im sick of people coddling him, hes a menace.

  7.

ouroboros, I know exactly what the word obvious means. If on those pictures the lights look the same to you, I suspect you can´t distinguish geometric forms so it is all the same to you. It is not my problem, if you fail to understand geometric forms man. I had a discussion with a friend of mine and he even suggested that other people might be an illusion and it can be all made up in the mind. For example you are making up me in your mind or I am making up you in my mind. He said there is a 50/50 chance for that theory to be true or false, as to any other theory that is not prooven. Altough I don`t like that man a lot I had high respect to his open mind toward unknown or uncertain theories. you on the other hand seem to be much too confused to allow other models of reality to be possible in your narrow mind. You believe at what you read and see on documentaries from science, not even considering that those documentaries will always be altered to what those scientists want to believe. It is in human nature that they bend uncertain theories towards what they think is right instead of looking at those things objectively.

radi...once again you show the nature of your ailment by creating an elaborate narrative about me...a person who you know nothing about. lets take a look at what youre saying here. your claim is that i can not see the things you are talking about in the picture. of course i can see the lines...i already said i could see them. you then go on to tell me im confused because i wont accept your story as true. a story which makes no sense whatsoever and contradicts the laws of nature. a story where the only "evidence" you provide are images of streetlights taken by a camera with finger smudges on it.

what you fail to see is your inability to let go of your fantasy even though the "anomaly" has been explained to you several times by several people. instead of even CONSIDERING the possibility that the lens flares in those images are nothing more than ordinary everyday lens flares the people experience every minute of every day all over the earth, you have created a story about a...wait for it....computer motherboard that has the capability to bend the light all over europe and alter the atmosphere.

so...tell me again which one of us is too confused to allow things into our narrow mind.

a quick google image search of the term "finger smudge lens flare" gets you things like this:

    IbNCB.jpg

look familiar? or is your mysterious and magical motherboard doing this?

  8. wow, man...you sure do know a lot about me.

lol...dude, there is absolutely nothing strange or out of the ordinary about those images. you want to call me naive? you want to call me stupid? you want to say im talking shit? go ahead man...but im not the one who thinks my left eye "feels" things, and im not the one who thinks a motherboard in a dumpster is bending the light all over europe, and im not the one whos seeing weird shit in a bunch of perfectly ordinary normal images of street lights.

you have quite an elaborate and detailed fantasy going on there my friend, do yourself a favor and go talk to a doctor.

  9.

I do believe that is the case and I will state in detail now, why that is, I even think everything that one person touches, technical devices fro example, belong to his reality, while other devices don`t. See pictures later.

So what I am going to tell about now may sound very dumb or absurd and people may think I am much dumber than they thought before, but it is really what I experience.

First of all I have an eye, my left I, that does not see things ina normal way like my right eye. It somehow scans the surface and transfers the light conditions in a room to feelings. I compare it to roentgem since it is not very far way from it. I don`t know how my left I is capable of doing so since when I was to an eye doctor, he did not say that I am capable of such things. Anyway it can feel changes in light and it processes the images like pressure. For example if light is bended from a deice or altered, I feel the force of it, the light is being bended to one point in the room (cameras can visualize what the eye sees, but later more of it). And devices, that can alter the light in a big way are in my experiences computer processors, graphics cardprocessors, graphics card platines and motherboasrds and their components.

And here comes the interesting fact, the fact that I never expected would happen. AtAugust of 2012 I bought a Gigabyte X38 PS4 Motherboard. It was an old Motherboard designed for sockel 775, with an core2duo E8400. I started using the motherboard in my room and the motherboard was doing strange things to the light that my left I could feel, but the changes were minor. But then came a time it was 05.01.2013. Then the conditioning of the motherboard changed completely and some small device on it, one of the radiators or one of the chips, started to bend the light and to cut it enormously. The unbelievable happened at this day, the effect of the small motherboard became so strong, that I felt uncomfortable in my room. I decided to get away the motherboard and brought it far away and trhow it in a bin.

(if you don´t want to read all of it, go to the pictures and see the visual evidence)

Soon after, 2 days to be exat, the effect of that part of the motherboard became so strong, that it could be felt from many kilometers already and could be felt in whole Europe. I can´t explain how this is possible and this suggests, that our reality is not connected to other realities. The light, the sun and lamps did not get dark for example, but you could see on streetlights anywhere in Europe for example, how the light is pulled to the direction of the motherboard, since that part became that strong. I felt uncomfortable since you could see it on monitor screens and feel the effect enormously all the day, sometimes stronger, sometimes weaker. I suspected the motherboard had been taken out by one person at the building, where I throw the motherboard away, so I prepared a hangout at the door and asked, if someone has that motherboard. A few days after, it was 20th of April, the effect faded away and since then I feel almost nothing of the motherboard, but sometimes it returns and it can be show with a camera aswell. It returns for a few minutes in a weak state, then goes away. It seems the owner who has taken it away, eventually got rid of it or it was because of some other actions I took that I wont explain here.

After the vent with the motherboard I had several different computerparts, that were as strong to effect the light in big areas of the planet, two cpus, one graphics card. One graphics card AMD 7700 has an effect right now from time to time and I had to get rid of that graphics card. It somehow makes the light stronger and that is annoying. It is not the sky that is getting stronger, but when you look at monitors or at streetlights, you can see the effect.

The big question now, that suggests that anyone lives in a different reality, but we can still interact with anyone is, why do I feel effects of those parts for months and can even record them on pictures, but do not feel effects of other computer devices. I don´t want to know how many motherboards like the Gigabyte GA X38 GS4, Core I3 notebook cpu or HD 7770 are out there. There must be many thousands of those and each of those must eventually start doing something on the environment I should be able to feel with my left eye (and catch up with a camera) Thus, there must be many many different computer parts, that can become so strang, that they start entering the light, but I did not feel any of it yet and did not see changes in the atmosphere. There are billions of computers and computerparts out there so the light forces must be changing within seconds, but that isn´t the case. I have come to a point that I asked myself, am I faulty for what is happening or is it a result of good and bad behavior towards others, disappointing parents for example, and a computer part starts going crazy.

I have also considered the parts I use, whether they are so different and the combination can make the computer parts become like that. My power supply is XFX core edition 550, my fan is revoltec airguard pro, my harddisc is western digital caviar blue, all the other parts change from time to time, except the thermal paste, arctic cooling silver. But I think others use such parts aswell.

So here are the pictures, that proove what I have experienced:

    gzkb.jpg

    eec4.jpg

    mqtl.jpg

That picture shows the best evidence and the one above it. How can the light be bended so a stroke is recorded by the camera in that direction?

    ym0t.jpg

    w473.jpg

    mou9.jpg

So look at those pictures, they were recored at the beginning of April 2013 at my home in Germany and they all show the same. The atmosphere being altered by the motherboard. The camera did nto have some failure and neither are those pictures normal. Just look how the light on the streetlights is pulled down and towards the south. Look at the long stroke that goes to the south and slightly down, it is visible on 6 pictures, not one but 6. All recorded in different timeperiods of the day and with different settings. Usually you would expect the camera to take pictures that don´t show a stroke of light in that direction. The lights would appear normal and would not have any tendency to be bended in that direction, but they did because of the motherboard, with was 2 kilometers away in that direction of the home. If anyone wants to suggest that it is because of the camera, look at other dark pictures, you would see a round buuble or balloon lighteffect that is arround the real light, because the camer can´t record it properly. You would under no circumstances see a stroke goin in that direction on 6 pictures. This state was present 50 percent of the time from 5.January 2013 til 20 April 2013.

We must observe pictures from other people in europe to see if they show the effect or not. If they show the effect, how are my computer parts different to be causing that, are they unique because I twork with them? Why don`t other parts of the same kind alter the light? If they don`t show the effect, it is stange aswell. Cameras and optical records seem to record the reality of the owners perception, not what is really there.

Now I hope noone thinks that the lights light towards that direction, the lights are roun and emit the same light intensity to any direction like lightbumbs. They are not brighter to the side, where the strokes appeared and yet the strokes are there.

    ho-lee-SHIT!

im sorry man, but that is, without a doubt, the most bat shit crazy post ive ever read.

next time clean the lens before taking pictures. those lens flares are 100% normal and common.

i sincerely thank you though, as now i understand you a bit more. that shit explains a lot.

Let's look to science: in evolution, nothing is by accident, so there is clearly a good evolutionary purpose in religion, otherwise it wont exist...

that sentence is not only wrong, but follows no logical course whatsoever. nothing is by accident? in evolution, things mutate for no apparent reason all the time. and if it werent for a stray asteroid 65 million years ago...you and i wouldnt exist. maybe not an "accident" but as close to one in definition as you can get.

*edit* on second thought...you are correct in saying nothing is by accident. an "accident" would imply that there was conscious thought behind it. so i agree...nothing is by accident, but nothing is on purpose either.

  11.

Thats the whole point. You are not! There is not 1 fact. Because there is no precedent! No culture in the world is without religion! Our whole history is drenched into religion. EVERY culture and history! And your assumption is that we would be as far or even further without religion... How can you say that? You simply can't know... its not because in 20% of the world religion is fading away for 50 years you can say such things. A lot of scientific research prove the importance of religion...

You say schools, charity,... can be done without religion... but it never was... In history it all started WITH religions doing that!

For instance; extreme charity... People like San Damiano, who simply said: I give up my life to go on an island with lepres, and I will help them. I know I will die, but I will just make them a little more happy. He would only do that because he is religious and is sure heaven is awaiting on him. People that are not religious would never "give" their life away.

and if you are PURELY atheist...

Let's look to science: in evolution, nothing is by accident, so there is clearly a good evolutionary purpose in religion, otherwise it wont exist...

schools, charity, and anything else you can think of are done without religion every minute of every day all over the world. i am a completely non religious atheist...so according to your logic i am unable to do charitable things, or open a school? how does that make even the remotest bit of sense? there is nothing inherent to charity or education that requires religion to function.

you can not use the argument "religion has always been there" as proof that it NEEDS to be there. especially since the claim is false. people do things you claim need religion everyday without religion. i personally do things you claim need religion to do. or is it your claim that without religion my time helping others doesnt count?

  12.

If you use the philosophic argumentation, this statement is simply wrong:

"so still no one has given an example of a benefit of religion that can not be had without religion."

As humans always HAD religion in every culture in their past, it's actually you who should prove people without religion do things people WITH religion wouldn't do (because of their religion). If you would say this in university people would laugh with that statment. it is not following the rules of a debate.

Anyway, I still will answer... And I told you already... The best benefits of religion and their influence on people:

    - more charity (Christian people give more away then NON believing people)
    - taking care of the poor/sick (typical Christian/monotheistic)! In most religions this is not the main thing (cfr Judaism & Hinduism)! Which is one of the big reasons why the western world managed to evoluate till what we are today. Also, so many organisations helping people are Christian! And 90% of the hospitals in Belgium (and 100 years ago it was 100%)
    - education! The idea of schools for everyone, is typical Christian and started in Christian society! In other cultures this was only for the rich people...

and some funny side effects of being religious:
    - less depressions (logical, as they find strength in God)
    - people become older (because they have a resting moment once in a while)

I can go on, I'm just curious how you will react. And don't say. "people wouldn't have done this too without religion" without arguments, examples,...

ah, but im not using a "philosophic argumentation". im using fact based argumentation.

charity, taking care of the poor and sick, and education??? really, you can not be serious. are you telling me that you think none of those things can be done without religion?

the burden of proof lies with the people making positive claims. that is to say the people who claim there IS a god (or gods), or that religion DOES provide a benefit that an individual can not get from another source. we all know its impossible to prove a negative...so you can not logically ask me to do so. i have asked for evidence showing my statement to be false...which you have not and can not provide.

perhaps you didnt understand my statement. im asking for examples of benefits of religion that CAN NOT be obtained without religion. im not asking for your opinion on what benefits you feel religion helps to provide. i want to know what benefits it provides that i cant get through other means.

the answer is nothing. religion at its best is a superfluous collection of superstitions and fairy tails, providing humanity with nothing that it cant do for itself without it. religion at its worst is a stifling hindrance to human progression and an engine for oppression, tyranny, hate, subjugation, violence, and murder.

  13.

I guess we're slowly, but surely heading for the direction where technological and social progress give pressure for religions to adjust their ways of spreading the spiritual message. Religions will change for better but it takes time, they're the product of their times and reflect the awareness and growth of human race on planetary scale.

My friend ouroboros, religion will always surface on the face of planet earth as long as you live and forever after. I hope sincerely you would understand this and not have grudge against religions or religious people because it's a heavy burden to carry such a feeling. Religions will, as far as I've understood it, finally merge into one when people are truly aware of their spiritual side and renew religion to be fundamentally a tool for self growth, rather than a blind belief system that's followed in the fear of punishment rather than love for God. I can understand your grudge to some degree if we are to take into closer inspection some of the writings let's say in the Bible for example. It's clear to a modern, critical human that this book has its flaws, but one shouldn't be all black and white about. It's still a well book having lots of valuable wisdom for humankind.

Benefit of religion in its most fundamental element is that it allows God-knowing/God-searching people to socially interact, change ideas and strengthen their belief by openly confessing it in front of others.

i will have to respectfully disagree with you. the trend away from religion is already apparent. i have no doubt that the future will be nearly 100% free from it. there will always be people who feel the need to attribute the things they do not understand to supernatural explanations, but those numbers are steadily decreasing. there will come a point at which those numbers are so low they stop having an effect on the world, and we will all be better off.

as for your example of a benefit...i will grant you that religion does do that, but i for one certainly do not see it as a benefit. quite the contrary in fact.

  14. ok...so still no one has given an example of a benefit of religion that can not be had without religion.

more importantly religion has been identified as a "tool" which by definition is something created by the user to accomplish a task. so...if religion is a tool created by the user (humanity) than its only logical to see that its all made up. it isnt real. the stories are just that...stories. why support a system of falsehoods that perpetuate hate, oppression, discrimination, violence, and death, when you know it to be false?

religion is an outdated tool. it is no longer useful, practical, or even functional in our more advanced society. perhaps at one point it served a purpose, but it no longer serves that purpose. we as a species have moved beyond the usefulness of that tool, and the continued use of it only hinders our progress.

there is an age old saying: "use the right tool for the right job" and religion is a tool for which there is no "right job" any more. religion is as useful to us now as stone axes are. in fact its worse than useless, when you consider the awful horrible things it still spawns.
