    Questions about legal issues with throwing goa party

    Ok basically my friend pete has an amazing house. Hes a bachelor, very secluded, 3 decks, pool the works. We could get about 200 people there comfortably inside and out and I got all the gear to do it up. Even my big weightlifter friend is gonna be a doorman to collect money, as well as make sure no drugs come in and nothing goes haywire.

     

    So two questions are this,

     

    1 - if the site gets raided since im just the dj, not the house owner or anything am i still liable. I highly doubt that will be a problem though. The policy is show up wrecked or dont get wrecked at all.

     

    2 - if underage drinking occurs and something comes of it.

     

    Whoever is experienced if you could please give me some info. Appreciated :)

    If its a party on private land, then the cops cannot stop the party. If there are noise complaints however, they can tell you to shut the music off during the night (usually considered 2am-8am) and then at that time the music can start again. The land owner is still liable if there is underage drinking occurring on his property, and the cops if they reeaally wanted to be assholes could go around and check people's id's but if is a peaceful encounter, most likely they won't go through the trouble of doing this. That's been my experience. Good luck!

    Nueromotor- that fred quit didn't he? heheh this is the most fun part.

    to make a long story short he thought he was going to kick my ass once for making some comments online about his dangerous use of high frequencies, really dangerous overuse of white noise.

    he sent me a threatening email, so i sent him my number to arrange a meeting since he was in town here.

    then i guess someone told him he was going to have a real hard time kicking my ass, and he apologized by phone.

    he did figure out what track was blasting eardrums, said he wouldn't play it that way again, then i heard he did it to the people in NY anyway.

    hrm....either this happened with someone else as well, or i do totally recall reading about this on one of the psytrance lists around here...

    No, but you may have seen me running around. I was one of 3 people that I noticed with children. My son and myself came out. We hung around Tamara and Henry of the Freedom Bus (the burrito bus, the free salad bus, the PURPLE bus) because of Tamara's son, Zarek who was my son's age. =]

     

    I was wearing a Tip Records hoody one night, a 3rd mind records long sleeve shirt another night, among other things.

    hrmmm....I vaguely remember meeting someone from Minnesota briefly....

    Ahhhh the burrito bus of Course! I could go on and on and on about those burritos...I think they are some of the best food I've tasted -ever. I was over by the purple bus many a time- got a few beers from there as well...we must have just missed meeting. Also i djed on Saturday morning....

    had a lovely time overall, and was great meeting so many people from the midwest. :)

    I have a friend who sells tshirts there and does pretty well with them.

    Plus, I'm a good saleswoman i promise...

    I also like moni's idea about putting these designs onto shirts....
