  1. Change your screen resolution on your monitor to the max setting. (Windows: Right click on desktop > Properties > Settings)
  2. Moderators use it. Mods can adjust warn level, but they have to give reasons why (i.e. spamming, flaming - breaking board rules etc). Normal members cannot add to the warning level.
  3. LOL Great track by the way. I too see an IM bassline in this one.
  4. This chatroom's great, I've had two great spiritual discussions from late until the early hours of the morning with vnvmod. Nice to see a room where serious discussion can and does take place. Great job.
  5. Yay. I'm a drummer myself but it is always good to know that beat creation is easy with software. Normally I bang out a rhythm on my kit and then transfer to Fruity. But iDrum would be better as it would save me leaving the comfort of my beanbag to use the PC downstairs. Thanks!
  6. 20 gig?! Are you nuts?! First we have the format which will leach a few gig off your drive, so 1-2 gig - lets say 1.5 gig off. That makes the drive go down to 18.5GB. Then you have the WinXP install, another 1.5GB for XP Home/Pro which knocks you down to 16GB. 16GB is not enough for music making. Firstly you have to install Cubase, then VSTs, then your sample library - I'd say all of that would be from about 1GB-5GB unless you're a sample horder. Now you have 11GB of space left. Presuming you don't install anything else from the Internet / other that's 11GB to store your tunes and everything else. That 11GB will go very fast. 40GB at least, after all, once you start running out of space your system will run slower ;-) I would recommend getting an external drive too, they are great for backups and storing samples that you may need but you don't think they are relavent to the track/album you are making.
  7. Hmm.. that seems to be what the product is supposed to do - make drum beats fast? Was it stable when you were trying it out?
  8. C'mon, there must be someone who uses iDrum... Anyone??
  9. Hi, I'm trying to get some decent tools for composing psy using a mac. I bought Fl Studio back in the day when v4 was out but thought that macs are the choice for music and that Logic's audio engine is a lot more powerful that Fruity's. So as I'm saving up for Logic and playing around with GarageBand (which is a pain for creating drum loops by the way) I've been trailing around the Internet for a decent drum loop creation tool. I stumbled across Glaresoft's iDrum and thought it looked pretty cool. I was just wondering if any of you mac users have had a go with creating psy beats with it, and is it good? I read a few reviews that said it was unstable, but most of them said it was a good buy. I'd rather not download the demo until I've loaded my mac up with enough WAV/AIFF samples to make a huge collection of loops in the 2 weeks I have to 'try out' the program. So basically I'm asking if anyone has the program can tell me what they think - is it easy to use? is it reliable? is it worth $50? Thanks If you have a mac and haven't heard of iDrum, the demo can be downloaded here: http://www.glaresoft.com/products/idrum/
  10. This beast can produce nastiness that my speakers can't handle (I need some proper monitors anyway ) I'm using it through Garageband as I can't afford Logic at the moment - stability has proven rock solid throughout the month or so I've been using it.
  11. Logic eh? Get Zoyd AU http://www.u-he.com/zoyd/ I agree with the others, nice production, but lacking interesting acidic melodies.
  12. Hmmmm..... not bad.. you need to add layers a lot faster than you are doing at the moment to keep listeners attention. Nice choice of effects and the vocal samples at the start are pretty cool.
  13. Wow. Just wow. Definitely the best song I've heard from you. Keep it up!!
  14. I am pretty new to the whole psy scene... But I don't really want to order a CD and find out I don't like it. Perhaps when I have a better grasp of what characteristics there are say in full on or twisted I might. Lol, of course you don't have to give me big names. I just want (as someone else put) the 'proper psy trance sound with layers' - I'm totally against boring, repetitive commercial Eric Prydz dance crap. Ughh..
  15. How could I forget the lone deranger?? Those recommendations will do nicely, thanks guys.
  16. Hi For future reference - would you take on someone in the UK who produces psy but doesn't DJ? I'm just saving up for a MIDI controller - I know I'm up for composing stuff (composing since 14) but don't have the tools quite yet. I'll get back to you if you'll take on someone who produces but can't (yet) play live.
  17. Hi I need to buy some decent goa/psy albums on CD - I don't have any in my collection, just a load of Cybernetika and one or two IM songs friends sent me. I want to be able to buy these from Chaos Unlimited .co.uk. Please help me make my list: Infected Mushroom - The Gathering / Classical Mushroom / B.P Empire As well as IM, I like stuff by Astral Projection, Space Cat and Cybernetika. Anyone got any recommendations?
  18. Awesome. Not only providing amazing quality tracks for us but guides on how to create our own!
  19. Yeah that's right. Plus I only got GarageBand on my mac ¬_¬ which is terrible for writing anything (unless you have a MIDI controller) so I'm saving up for Logic and a decent MIDI controller.
  20. Getting signed will get you a large audience. Then again, so will good advertising of your website. But then again, advertising costs, bandwidth costs on websites, so as more people listen to your tracks, the more you'll pay. But this also depends on the hosting plan you have. I would definitely buy an album of yours. Sending around a few demos to small record labels might end up in a record deal that will help pay for the website and other things.
  21. You are one generous guy Lars. You could sell this stuff, sign up to a record label. The track in my opinion is flawless. Then again on this PC it's hard to tell, the soundcard is terrible. Every one of your tracks have a great sound to them, I have every single one on my PC. Keep it up
  22. In no particular order: Dancing with Kadafi Dracul Never Ever Land Bust A Move Merlin Acid Killer (Feat. Xerox) Gamma Goblins Remix Dream Theater
  23. I love Zoyd, a mac only synth used for creating dirty, disgusting leads and basses. You cannot get a nice clean sound out of this synth! That is impossible! http://www.u-he.com/zoyd/ I also love reFX Claw, even though I cannot use it on my mac. You can create some great distorted basses with this beast. http://www.kvraudio.com (heh, I forgot the exact URL )
