Real talent shows early indeed, Mozart was a musical genius (although i'm not really into his stuff).
But hmm, 20 isn't that young anymore.. or well it is still young but not extremely impressive even though they released a great cd

Psytrance parties means dancing combined with awesome music and meeting friends.
If you want to pick up girls you go to an ordinairy disco I guess? many other places to get females, if you even want to meet a girl that way.
If it wasn't for the fact I'm already occupied with a great great girl, I wouldn't mind to date a psytrance girl, but only if it would happen on a spontaneous basis.
A positive aspect is that being at a psytrance party most of the time means they aren't very narrowminded and do enjoy great music, so that's a good thing

try Eskimo
And especially his Voodoo People Remix! or Let It Out
... fast stuff -
An absolutely outstanding album is Symphonic Adventures by Synsun. It is melodic and a bit full-on, but not in the GMS/Alien/Astrix way of full-on. It has a lot of classical music influences and in the CD case the guy from Synsun writes he was inspired for this album by the metal band rhapsody (but it doesn't has Sun Project guitars on it, so don't fear). It is absolutely great music, best album of the year by far. And it reminds me a lot of the Classical Mushroom album by IM. You MUST checking it out!!
Checked it out today... GREAAT ALBUM!
awesome bombastic/majestic classical influences ! really worth the buy too

I don't think it will become that commercial,... To compare, I do listen to some other music too, and one of them is rather extreme metal.
People in that scene were also affraid of becoming commercial and stuff, but in the end the music isn't made for the mainstream. Just listen to most psy trance, it goes way deeper than the average tiesto or RnB track. I don't see many top of the pops lovers get into psytrance "With all those weird looking hippie people".

i fully agree with you, its a state of mind you need to get into to really enjoy psychedelic music, the drugs just make it easier to get into that state of mind, but they are most definitely NOT essential. i have been to psy parties on nothing but a few drinks and had an awesome time.
Its a proven fact that when you put someone (completly sober) in a chaotic environment (say for instance a 5 day festival) with no drugs but surrounded by chaos and mad people flailing their arms, and a 100k sound system pumping full on psytrance, that you are going to go insane, wether you took drugs or not, so yes, i must fully agree with you on that point.
and on another apologetic matter...i regret to inform that i need to apologise for my harshness towards infected's new single, cities of the future. i dont think i was ready for such a harsh change and it shocked me, i ripped the cd out of my discman and threw it across the room in disgust. however, i recently picked it up from the floor where it had been for 4 days, smoked a "cigarette" and had another listen.....and dare i say it........its not that bad. the violet vision rmx is actually...*shock, horror* very good. but i guess i have to accept it for what it is, electro, and not psy. so apologies for my harsh comments earlier. it seems after a few listens, its sort of grows on you a bit.
I also agree with you about the drugs
and indeed.. the single isn't that bad.. it takes time, just like the album

In earlier times I liked pretty much everything that was psy, no matter which style.
But this has changed. Meanwhile I also can't hear any full on stuff any more, it has become mostly all the same and the energy is somehow gone ... really, on the last party as the DJ was playing full on stuff I didn't even feel like I would want to dance. It was all crap without energy. Fortunately the night was saved as the next DJ started his set, there the style changed drastically to progressive and this got me instantly. So basically I like progressive better than full on. It has simply more energy...
Hmmm I prefer Full On, with loads of (acid)sweeps, nice melodies, weird effects and very busy basslines
Progressive doesn't give me goosebumps like the older goa of nowadays full on psy does, it's too minimal for me and I'm glad that the minimal stuff that came out about 2001/2002 finally ended. -
Dark Soho is also great stuff, has a dark twist too it

Ratio Shmatio, Stretched and Bombat are the best songs, the rest is pretty cheesy and not memorable. I was hoping IM would combine their other side of CV with some build-ups like The Gathering or Classical Mushroom had. Some of the tracks aren't really heading anywhere...
They have a very big talent, but this album is just so very dissapointing.
Hmm well I'm one of those who does like the album instead of hating it

It's not the best album ever created or something like that, but it has some funny aspects (like the song "i'm the supervisor", you shouldn't take it all too serious I guess). The production is really awesome and if played at a high volume it does have some great danceable parts. The only downside is the absence of the more psychedelic feeling of their previous albums (well.. The Gathering/CM) and being rather minimal compared to most psytrance nowadays. But stating this album is pure crap is neglecting a lot of good sides like diversity in songstructure and excellent effects. Just don't think of it as pure psytrance but more of a electro/psytrance/etc. mix
I'd give it a 7 overall
