1. The plans are as follows: Studies -->India-->New Zealand or Australia.

I promise to check in, like 1 or 2 times a week. I'll ask the original killlarghh master, the Skazi himself to replace me. But he'll have to quit the music to concentrate on Psynews. So you'll have to think twice...

i'm going to India as well but only leaving in december i guess you won't be there by that time. Not that i mean IF you were there we would do some gay stuff like arrange a blind date or sth but still :P, where are you goin India's pretty big..

It's ok i don't like his music anyways go ask him

  2. I have the same problem. Last week we were at a festival, on the dancefloor where me and her connect very good, or at least used to. We were there, but there was no connection, no chills going down my spine, no goosebumps, no infinite smile, nothing. As i was hopelessly trying to communicate as spontanious as possible like the first time we met, the mere trying to be spontanuous made it impossible. For the first time with here on a dancefloor i felt like there was something wrong. Was it something about her, did she indeed become ill, or has she just been abused too much, raped one time too many. Or is it just me that has changed?

Who is to say? I will keep following what she is doing, hoping that one day she'll find renewed energy, she'll get back to her old self, and remeber that something special isn't achieved through conformism! I will not lose hope though, and for sure will not forget the unbelievable moments i had with here, which i treasure in my hart like nothing else. Luckily i can still get goosebumps from those memories, or else i would just be a lost boy in a miserable world. Those memories help keep me on my feet, they tell me that magic is no fairy tale thingy, no firebolts cast by ancient magicians in some long forgotten time. It is omnipresent, open for all to see, hear and feel. At least that is a thought nobody will ever take away from me, i am eternally grateful to her for that.

  3. I just discovered this album from Glight - Final Element (deja vu records)

Was this album a huge bomb when it was released? I seem to think not since i have never heard of it, but i miss alot, so. But if it wasn't, it's a shame...

well anyway, this is thè shit for me, damn, can't get enough of it, it's f*cking brilliant! Melodic all the way without losing any of the psychedelic touch, and pumping like it darn well should be on a dancefloor! pff i dare to say even it's one of my favourite albums, at least that's the feeling i have when i listen to it!

Strongly recommended if you like fast morning stuff, NON-Fullon ofc.

    Favourite trax: 1(!!!), 3(!),5,7(!),9(!!)

  4. "I think that the people that don't like this album had just so much expectation that they didn't even give them a chance."

    Ahem... May I say: Bullshit

    282702

No u may not! Get in line with everyone else, say what they want you to say or otherwise just shut up. Thx.

  5. I find that in the first album you could really hear where Raja's influence came in. This album that is very much less so obvious. I feel that here there input was very well blent in together.

Off course it's just my perception, i could be terribly wrong here off course...

Apart from that side note i'm beginning to fall in love with this album the more i listen to it. But indeed, the beginning is bad. When the warm bassline kicks in at around 8.00 mins, the real thing begins. From there on it's brilliant, with some lesser parts towards the middle/end.

  6. I've downloaded it as well

but i am for sure going to buy it. The more i am listening to this, the more it's growing on me, which can only mean one thing for me. It's SHPONGLE all right! Can't wait for the cristal clear cd quality...

It's far too early it to say wether it will come next to the first in my ranking. Almost impossible since there is no Behind Closed Eyelids kind of track on it (as far as i've noticed already), which from minute 6.00 till the end is simply imo the best peice of electronic music i've ever had the pleasure of listening to. It just explains beauty to me in a way words could never do. I've had it for 3 years now, and i still just can't get enough of that piece, i wish it lasted longer, infinetly longer. But, nothing lasts i guess...

  7. Last night someone broke into sevryn's girlfriends' car and stole the last eight years of his work, all the banners that were hung at the alladin project / wizzy noise party. the thief left other expensive items such as a digital camera, binoculars, ect and only took the artwork. PLEASE if you know anything about the missing artwork contact jason (jason@subtlechaos.org 917 903 0428) or sevryn of pulse industries.

a no questions asked BIG reward is being offered for any information that leads to the return of his artwork.

You can find images of the artwork here

(and mods, i don't know which section is visited most so i posted it in 2, sry)

  8. Well, first i want to say i really love this album alot. (not all tracks off course)

Does anyone classify this as typical fullon? I for one absolutely don't.

And could someone maybe suggest some more of this kind of music/artists? What labels should i mostly check? to get enough music to play a set of this kind of music.

    thx.

  9. here's a completely incoherent list of some of the songs i've been listening to of late.

I don't give a damn 'bout styles or whatever. this list is as incoherent as can be but consists of track i each like alot in their own way. Some are old, some new but i all love them and have been in my playlist alot especially these past few days!

    Prometheus - Mekong Delta

BLT & Danni Makov - Gracefull dead

    Parasense - Step like this

fREQ - Return of the Masters

    Dark Nebula - Dark nektar

    Yahel - Intelligent life

    Scatterbrain - Infernal Angel

    Echotek - Deep to tiv

    Shpongle - Behind closed eyelids

  10. This album rocks with its' high BPM. Yuli managed to gap succesfully between Progressive structures and Full On energies. I fucking adore the outcome. Shame on the dumb progressive oriented organisers that find his style too full-on and same on the full-on oriented ones that think that he's too proggy. The scene is not ready yet for something unique like that. And that's the reason that the BLT project was shut down for the moment.

For similar Proggy/Psy/Full-On hybrids check out Prosect/Sound Field. He might surprise the shit out of you this year.

    214297

I agree, the high BPM is what makes me like this album so much i think. Sometimes i feel proggy is just that tiny little bit to slow, and fullon, well, better i not comment on that :)

Not that i can't get thouroughlly excited by progg it's just that this this gets me up another notch, a place proggy never bringes me.

I'll definatly check prosect/sound field out, think it was your advice that made me buy the album, so for now i'd listen to anything you suggest me, i am really thankful i discovered this album, thx m8.

  11. Hey, I been inactive for a while, but thanks for you feedback I appreciate it.

I most certainly haven't heard exceptional music yet, as you can see by my poor judgement of this. Cheers to everyone here, at least you guys make it easy to slide into a community geared on opinions  :)

Hope to discuss more as I check out the songs listed by Ov3rdos3.

    214272

    They are ablums, not songs.

Some of my fav ablums, but a bit diffrent from what ov3rdos3 suggest, so that you get an idea of the wide range of psy music, combine this list with his list, and you can make pretty good judgement of the music we love:

    Atmos-Headcleaner & 2nd brigade

    BLT&Danni makov-anything you want

    FREq-strange attractors

    X-dream- Radio

    Infected Mushroom-Classical mushroom

so, that should get you started, ENJOY! :)

  12. And if u can wait another year, definatly check out the BooM festival in Portugal. My best experience ever. though i have not SO much to compare it to, for instance i haven't been to VooV yet.

This year i'm doubting between a festival in Morocco end of august, Sonica, or Trassylvania callin in romania.

time will tell which one it will be..

  13. no,no,no,no,no,no,no,no,no,no,no,no, theres nooooo liiimiiiiiit!!!!!!! unf unf unf unf

    214081

    :D

it's hard to believe, but my 20 year old brother, musical arse, recently discovered a cover of that song by the smurfs. He playes it 2 friggin times a day!!

And if he's want he could play all the Shpongle, hallucinogen, Atmos, FREq, BLT he wants. I'm really really puzzeld by his musical "taste", if you can call it that.

So don't feel bad Needles, there's always someone with worse taste then u :P

  14. Hi all psynews peeps,

I have just recieved an album called "anything you want" from BLT & Danni Makov

and i must say that i really really like it, it is very much my style. Same goes with Atmos and FREq.

Now, i was woundering if there is much trance like this around, cause i'm starting my collection and really only want to have the kind of music i like. There is many other music but i'm not so familiar with names of this partiular style, till now it has been mostly dark trance like para halu, kindzaza and stuff for me.

Now i got to know of this album because of the "best of 2004" topic, and now i want to know about similar trance of previous years, so that i can start buying. :)

    thanks in advance

    Frantic.

  15. Find this a very good site, when a question is asked here, we get mostly funded opinions, and i find that here, people like actually what is good. They can be critical of things that may sell huge but is actually nothing. And here people mostly can differ on opinions without being flamed. I mean, try being critical on isratrance, and you get flamed like crazy. Off course there are also many many good members, almost all artists.

And most of all, people here aren't all that into stupid POWERtrance (betterknown as fullon).

And who knows, maybe this can grow, and all the cool members from isratrance find this site. Then i would have no reason to visit there anymore.

    viva psynews :D

  16. You like Pure Energy??!!

Man this is house not Psy

    213596

true that it is not very psy at all

but i have to admit that i don't find it a bad track at all

just don't know if i would appreciate a DJ playing it though, but if it is played at home it is very enjoyable for me.

    "de gustibus et coloribus..."

    you know ;)

  17. i would definatly get the monitors. Mostly cause sound quality is to me, simply the main and most important thing of all. second, personally i don't know much about synths anyway, so i would first buy monitors and start with working with software in order to get to know things and to be able to experiment with sound. i think that if you get good feeling with software, and sound in general you can afterwards get synth and experiment with that.

also, if you experience with real crappy soundsystem, you always have to imagine how it would sound on good monitors, and that is not much fun is it?
