  1. In this one they fit - if the melody is even played on an organic instrument, because I have my doubts.

But at least you could play this on an organic one and it would still sound great IMO:

    Etnoscope - Medieval

Yes, this is the exactly kind of tracks I am looking for in this thread!

When I was listening to this Etnoscope`s album, I have mentioned this and maybe some others tracks to myself! But when I was creating this thread, I totally forgot about it.. thanks to remind :)

Nice ideas, the tracks you posted are very good :)

I like organic instruments too, but I don't think they fit in everywhere.

I wish there were more tracks that are made to fit with organic instruments and used them. IMO it would have made them more rich, alive and enjoyable, because without them the music sounds too `techy`...

And there should be MANY, MANY more tracks.. For example, when I listen to the mix section of divbyzero.de online psy/goa radio, like almost once per mix there is a track with organic instrument widely used. They stram mostly progressive side and I even recognise tracks from my 2003-2005 listening experince, but now I forgot all of their names..

  2. Here I am searching for the special tracks which been made to simulate a preferably fast motion with its sound. Most of them have motion reference in their names. And its easily distinguishable by the sound itself.

    Examples from my collection -

    Frree tracks.

    Maxus - Road Warrior

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5C4GVMqDu2c

    P-tec - Lost in space

Sybaris - Welcome to the Gods

Battle of the Future Buddhas - Here comes the Sun!

    Nova Fractal - Autopsy

    Commercial.

    Ultravision - The tunnel

Electric Universe - The Rising Sun

    Electric Universe - Astral Voyage

    Electric Universe - Galaxia

    Electric Universe - Electric Pulsation

    Rainbow Spirit - Smooth Elevator

    Transwave - Voyager

Man With No Name - Low Commotion

Moonweed & Squid - Martians On Motorcycles

DJ Dione - The Helicopter (extended remix)

    Trilithon - Cyber Train

    Z To A - Next Stop Oblivion

Prana - Primal Orbit (ambient mix) ?

    Etnica - Vimana

    Bypass Unit - Cruiser

    Bypass Unit - Phaser Galaxy

Bypass Unit - Tossen On A Mission

    Bypass Unit - Tunnel Floatation

I am seeking for the tracks which not just have the reference to the motion in their name, but, which is more important, sound like the posessing motion. Just like on the video. A real drive to me.

  3. I am searching for the traces of usage of the Psy/Goa trance anywhere in life apart from the so called `psy culture`.

Anything from a `real world` clothing shop, cafe or anime soundtrack. Any audio/visual or just verbal proofs.

I`ll start off myself with a `97 Dream Trance mp3-CD from my personal pirated CDs collection.

Notice Robert Miles In The Mix mentioning.

It contains Prana - Geomantik which can be classified as Goa trance and Robert Miles himself does not belong to Psy culture as well as the above CD.

Then goes a Reebok shop in my city back in about `99. Every time I was going in there.. the music.. was just making my legs shake and fall while the body to fly. People from my local county psy forum cofirmed it was Goa and the Reebok company itself was sponsoring various psy parties in my city back in the time. I have found myself Prana - Taiyo been played on an audio commercial streamed on our various FM radiostations. I am still seeking for more tracks as I want to restore that feeling I was having form the music..

Anime. Texhnolyze OP - Juno Reactor - Guardian Angel. A non official video -

Another anime. Ride Back OP - Mell - Rideback. Also a non official youtube video.

This track seem to be made specially for this animation and music part made by Kazuya Takase. It sounds very Goa-ish and here is the proof its worth to be mentioned here - Kazuya Takase – Hydian Way. Its another creation by this musician and as of Discogs we can see -

      Genre: Electronic, Pop

      Style: J-pop, Techno, Psy-Trance

I am sure there are more interesting finds!

A NEW SUB GENRE OF PSYCHEDELIC TRANCE IS BORN!!

    -= LIGHT-PSY =-

I was personally very eager for this to happen for years already..
Despite the track doesnt seem to feet well my own imagination of this sub genre, it seems to be historically the first time ever a track is called as 'lightpsy' intentionally which is still an awesome thing!
  5. Indeed it's an awesome track. The best I've heard from Suria (I don't have any of his albums though).

BTW what happened to him? He used to be a hot name back then.

I also (obviousely) consider this to be the best track of his! Next one is 'Hiptonic Dance' which is still not good as this one. His album 'Logical Evolution' is now for sale in digital format and I'm still considering getting it..

He also got one of the longest tracks ever called Victory and I 'own' it because it was released for really cheap version in my country.

But it's all not as good as this track. So I contacted him personally via facebook proposing to get all this music released on a defunct now label Deja Vu to re-release for free at Ektoplazm.

He replied that he didn't know that when a label get's shut down the rights to the tracks go back to the artist and said it's a very great idea to give away his 'old' music for free.. Also thanked me to remind this great tune.

It was like a year ago when I contacted him. And at that time I've read somewhere (on myspace I guess) that he is going to release a new album, melodic, similar to 'Logical Evolution'..

And one month ago I've noticed he released a 3 tracks EP via digital distribution: Suria - Side Effect from where I personally find nothing really interesting..

  6. Does anyone actually make music that is not "fast track on steroids"? Would be nice to hear some proper new Goa around 133-140 bpm

And yes, strong does not necessary mean fast. The strong slower old school tracks (if my internal BPM counter is right) are Afrotrance - Spiritual Energy and Disco Volante - Chameleon.

I would also love to hear something like this made today. But it seem to require really some big idea (energy) to be put into the track and nowdays people seem to be lacking of these things..

    ***

As for the Suria's track, it has been put at the end of the compilation it has been released on. And for a reason, I believe, like to summ things up :)

This what (and only) has been said about this track here by Ormion:

Last but not least another Portuguese artist after N3xu5, Suria. I know what you’re thinking, what Suria do in this compilation? Well, Earth in trance set is a dark full on track with (Thank God!) no cheesy melodies here.Instead of cheese we have three great first minutes of pure psychedelia just before the melodies start. The last minutes really remind me Fractal Glider but in a darker way.More like this mister!

    ;)

  7. lol that's what I was thinking, I was like "THIS is supposed to be the strongest??" but to each their own I guess ;)

Yes. To me the strongest is something that gives you an 'over all' feeling. Thus it has to be simple and yet strong.

One of the interpretations might be as a barrel's hoop:

    Posted Image

It's kind of very simple, plain, but yet strong enough to hold all the various internal fillings.

It will always give a feeling of having a huge and great work done, staying on top.

Oh.. and well.. what is the best asossiation with the word 'strength'? For me it's the fist. Search google images for strength.. Most of the images give the same feeling..

    Posted Image

How simple it is, how clear.

The only remark I would accept to add, is that I might be talking about the musculine (male) strength. A feemale one would most likely look like (from same first page of goole images result):

    Posted Image

    ...like I was 16 again...

    ...part around 5:00...

    ...around 6:00

Yes, the parts you mentioned do produce a close feeling to what I am seeking for. Thanks for the participation :)

Edit: But they are only the parts, while I am seeking for the whole tracks to be like that, from their start to end..

And yes, its kind of being 16 but now, same 'spirit' which has matured to it's perfection but remains young, strong and fresh.

Another great (and maybe the only) example is MFG - Welcome To The Edge:

    http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=4imUlvBXRC8

However, while MFG's tracks gives you a feeling of climbing the final steps to the Edge and finally reaching it.. Suria's tracks sound like you had already a well rest after your climbing and just enjoying staying on top, going around the edge with circles :)

Edit: I've decided to add a companion to MFG:

    http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=gxDjIO0HyHA

But Suria still sounds to me stronger than anything I ever heared from the 2000+ production :)

  8. I wasn't going to post here initially, but after things like on the image below happened, I've gotten totally motivated for the post.. :)

I opened this thread JUST after listening to Alfalfa track from exactly Fill Your Head With Phantasm compilation which was precending in it's turn Doof's album..

No Future Prophecy here.. but well, that's for the future :)

Every time I listen to Alfalfa track I am getting additionally fascinated and inspired. It is on the very few special tracks, one of the most emotional ones. Maybe even over emotional..

And as for the discussion track, I've listened to it yesterday and I liked it very very much! I don't find any references though to either Doof or FYWP compilation.. It has more drive as for me, something like Nova Fractal :) It gives a decent feeling, well, strongly built. The absense of many 'random psychedelic sounds' is also a HUGE plus.

But.. the all these lyrics and the whole thing about (black ?) magic ruins the whole thing for me and does not make even want to listen to it again..

  9. I've seen some Linux discussions here. So I've post my current desktop picture, which is just default one supplied with my Linux system. "Occidendtally" it is also on a space theme.. like that russian table game ;)

    Posted Image

In Linux (Debian) you are in the Sky by default :)

  10. deepXcode, nice version

Yes.. The favorite table game ever in my life! I was seeking for the opportunities to restore it in my memories and kind of unexpected to have this happened via this forum, thanks for sharing. :)

  11. I don't know where I can post this pic, but I found it very weird and adorable.

It's from unknown USSR table game

    WOW!

There were many table games like this in our family, but this was one of the few of my favorites!! I liked so much all the spacy theme in it! You can find here very ordinary things and even ancient but all with space engine attached and spacy styled. It was so futuristic, so inspiring!

Especially the huge jet exhausts, the train and the bus by which I remember the whole thing..

Edit: I was having a version more like this though:

    Posted Image

With the Comet and somewhat more high-tech feeling.. Oh yees..

You can also read here on the image the name of the game: "The Great Space Journey" B)

Edit 2: Now I am absolutely sure it was the one most favorite!! :D

PS. I wanted to start a thread like this about a half a year ago, I was having not just the desktop and winamp theme, but also each single window styled with graphical frames on 'psychedelic' theme. But the system has crashed.. though I might restore it and still show..

Linux gives you much more of customization abilities afaik :)

  12. After talking to 12 moons, already have some news.

He given his 3 full albums for 320kbps free download:

    12moons - Solid State (168mb zip file)

Healer - WonderGround (160mb zip file)

Healer - Higher Grounds (157mb zip file)

And placed a donation button. This is what he wanted to do as described in my letter to me. On the site he promises to release all the rest of his music till autumn.

He also mentioned that 'Ektoplazm guys' did contact him, so maybe all this would appear on Ektoplazm.

    :)

Note: Despite Candyflip records still sells 2 of these albums in digital format, the artist claims (in a rude form) to not have any royalties from them.

  13.

It would be great if you would upload Atypus's "Full Speed" album's tracks!

Give me few days plx. Download link will be here next week for sure.

Quite a lot time already passed..

But I'm not really insisting, just still curious to listen to it and it was impossible for me to find it elsewhere.. :)
