    Who's listening to this? It's what we all were expecting from the third Younger Brother album and didn't originally get. It's terrific! In case you don't know, it's available for free via the Younger Brother app (ios and android).

    I am listening and reviewing within the next few days. Having never hear of Sphongle before, my view will be solely based on the album as a single, not relating it to the other albums Sphongle has produced. From what I have heard, it seems cinematic. I will post results here in a few days.

     

    That should be an interesting perspective, looking forward to it. After that, I would definitely recommend you listen to all the Shpongle albums, in order.

    Well, he is releasing it under his own name on Twisted and it is called Even Tundra. A month ago or so it was on soundcloud free to listen and sounds quite good. A mix between psy chill and Trentemøller stuff.

    So true. It is actually a while that I'm not excited about his output.... I mean... it is pretty good music, but nothing that excites me really. On the other hand the new Benji Vaughan album sounds pretty slick.

     

    Tell me more about the Benji Vaughan album please? Is it Prometheus or another project? Thanks

    It's good until the awful 4/4 kick sets in. Why the fuck do they put a beat in an ambient track. It's so god damn awful and pure shit. I hate those kind of slow annoying beats. It's stupid. I'm angry.

     

    Uhhhh is this the first Shpongle song you've ever listened to? Trance elements have been there since the first album man.

    Love the trance beat, was hoping they'd use elements like that after The God Particle. HAving seen the entire band live the danceable elements with straight up beats like that really carry the crowd high. Ordered both CD & Vinyl.

    Fuck yeah love the trance beat!

    I love when Simon gives a little taste of what he could still do psytrance wise if he wanted in shpongle tracks... Just like a tiny little reminder that he is still the king haha...

    You know I hope I don't jinx it but fuck it the album's already been completed. This sample has me quite excited, moreso than for the last album, if it's any indication. Simon's so COOL

    I just realised this is a very special CD.

     

    I can read the track listing.

     

    It has a clear font (not some goddamn hippie squiggles), big letters and good contrast. (Have you ever tried reading, say, Synthetic Flesh's labels when DJing at a pitch black club?) Also, the titles are real words, not some pseudo-ethnic nonsense taken from a language the artist doesn't even speak.

     

    I was able to fill in the titles in extraction software without consulting Discogs.

     

    For this reason alone, I give it five stars.

     

    Hippie squiggles! ha love it, everyone here knows what you mean.

     

     

    Oh, pretty excellent album btw!!!!
