  1. My Review of Hibernation - Some Things Never Change

    as for other chill recommendations

    check

Kaya Project - ...and So It Goes

VA - Raindrops In The Forest

    M-Sphere - Floating

some nice chilled but overlooked CDs from 2008

I just saw your review of Raindrops in the forest, It looks really Appealing now. I think i'm gonna add it to the cart as well :D - Do you get some good Pamphlets / Artwork with it?

Also m-sphere looks good as well, thanks for the Reccomendations abasio, you're the man :clapping:

Also, wonna try something new, Does dark ambient has something new to offer? Need an introduction (problably not the right place to ask though, much love from denmark)

  2. OTT - Skylon is really good :) - He really understands to make psychedelic really dubbish :D If you liked his debut, you'd like this more.

but Lungs of life isn't really that good compared to Archipelago, they've basicly just remixed alot of their old tracks, i'd say its more trancier than their usual works.

  3. but when you already lose CDs, isn't it even more likely that you will lose even more CompactSticks?

I'm not talking of the few sticks available now, you can count them on one hand, probably not gonna lose any if you have just a few ... but when their numbers get bigger, won't it be even more disorganized? Sticks lying everywhere and such? I mean okay, they don't get scratched like CDs if you let them lie around, but that would make the problem of disorganisation even bigger IMO because you have no motivation anymore to put the stuff back into the cover.

I ain't got any organisation problem with CDs. I have a shelf for them, with two glass doors so they don't get dusty. But with sticks? I wouldn't wanna put them to the CDs since they can't be played on he Hifi and I want the shelf organized, so I'd let them lie around or whatever and so I'm sure I'd lose them. With one or two sticks it wouldn't be a problem, I'd stick them to my keychain or somewhere ... but when they get more I'm quite sure it will result in major disorganisation...

By the way, CompactStick website is updated. Looks way more professional now. The project is getting bigger

It might bother me that they quickly would dissapear in the mass of sticks lying around, but truth is that i would still feel more secure having sticks around as you state they don't scratch. the only thing bothering me might be that unlike the cd it isn't analogue, which would mean that the quality of the sound might be worse than a cd. i don't have my head into all the format battles so i still prefer my sound at least 192.mp3 files, i mostly rip my cds in 320, but im thinking of going down to 256. Just a quick sidestep there, so as i was saying with sticks i'd feel more secure. but it might not have the same collectors value as a cd. I coulnd't imagine sticks going on discogs for the same price as the rare cds. And i still hope that all the pamplettes will get included as in the cd-

  4. How would this compare to "Myam James" pt 1?

Oh and great review as always abasio, wish i could hear the tracks, but so far your reviews has always been spot on and ingeniously described with the details of each track

  5. First of all, TL;DR, i didn't read all of the posts

bought i hope for a bright future of the Compact Stick...

I bought Vibrasphere's album as a Compact stick, and i would rather buy the compact stick than i would buy a cd, i just hope the prices would even out a bit.

I can't tell how many times i lose my cd's anyway... And mostly i just like cd's for the extra material sometimes... (i take out the covers and put em on my wall, (got a whole wall plastered with all my cd covers and whatever stuff i get with my cds (posters etc.)

  6. I would be interested as for buying a shirt or two, it's been a long time since i've posted here. and i've greatly upped my cd collection with suntrip cds since last time.

I got Opus Iridium for christmas as well as Khetzal, I got both Filteria albums, and i got Ra 9th

I Would like to get two t-shirts i just can't decide on colours or design.. I'm a medium btw.

I could use some help choosing though :-) hope i could get some good inputs as for choosing some great shirts :D

  7. I have both Macrophage and drosopholiae, I like them both, i cannot see why theres so much fuss over them being mediocre.

I think that S.U.N Project does a good job of making diverse tracks, haven't listened to other sun project songs but on those two albums, although first time i came in contact with them was back when i heard one of my brothers compilation cd's (cannot remember which one) but i think i heard Dance of the Witches and i was sold.

  8. Honest question; is this interview really "real"?

I was browsing the internet in my quest for any leads on NHJO, because i just recently listened to his latest work, "christmass songs" and i was awed by his skills.

Hes become pretty cult in my class, and im trying to find decent information on him.

    Thats all.

  9. Alright, this track is awesome. I many a time have been discussing music with sarrsari (whom doesn't post here for various reasons)

but we concluded that this track is awesome. amongst my favourites, as well as his.

I can't describe how good it is, and i was made to believe that IM actually were pretty able to make tracks that weren't so up-tempo whilst in my oppinion could be regarded as downtempo/chill. For some reason IM were to believe that they had no future in making "chilled" tracks even though they had the talent for it.

  10. Psytrance seem to spreading locally through contries such as Germany, Holland and Belgium. Sadly us "danes" never see much psytrance.

I've personally raided every musicstore i could find in search of psytrance tunes, but sadly it seems all in vain. I share the same experience of trying to find some cool cds.

Many times i've tried to ask the salespersons if they had any psytrance cd's but i always seem to get that raised eyebrow and a questioning look.

I try to mention some words that might remind them of what i'm looking for.

I mention "Goa" and they direct me to world-Ethnic music from india... i sigh qietly and say "trance" and they redirect me to the commercial electronic music rack where one might find: Tiesto and artists such as him - not to mention the dreaded eurotra(sh)nce

Luckily our libraries offer a great selection of good electronica, but again... no psytrance besides the commercial full on, that has labeled itself as Psytrance when its rather pop.

but lately i think that the music is on the rise, i see more and more psy trance cds on the rack of the larger recordshops. but its all commercial artists such as IM and Skazi... but its a start.

Parties seems scarce but a few times a year; psytrance parties are held... but its pretty much underground. <_<

again i've tried to play music to my friends, ex girlfriends (thats problably why they left me ) and family members... But i find no people with the same taste as myself, sad indeed.

I will look forward to the day that psytrance is more accepted and i hope for the future to bring many new listeners to the genre.

one thing we all seem to have in common is the "isolation feeling" when nobody around us listens to the same music as we do. :drama:

  11. Omigosh!!

I only buy tops 2 Psytrance cds each month, and last time i bought a cd, was last month (eat static - back to earth)

Now, i've been drooling alot on the Opus Iridium Compilation. And i really want to buy it.

Im slowly digging my way through Suntrip releases :P

I did buy some normal CD's.

Mainly three cd's i got cheap in an old record store.

The orb: The dream, Bicycles and tricycles () and U.F.Orb
