I instantly thought of Bluetech when I heard this, although it is a bit more varied and ventures more into the lounge side of things. All in all a pretty good album.
-
Superb morning tracks, very much remind remind me in the feel of the classical Digital Structures releases (Son Kite, Vibrasphere, Etnoscore etc)
-
The ambient tracks are brilliant, however I am yet to really get into the dancier tracks (apart from Erosion and Isolation). To me that Vibrasphere magic is missing from those.
-
Now you know 1. I prefer his faster tracks a lot more then groovy deep progressive tunes.
"FREq - Time Stretcher" Is it fast enough for freq?
Oh well, anyways this track is my absolute favourite from his entire discography.
One of the most original psytrance basslines i have ever heard.
I agree, Time Stretch is an awesome track.
Also 'Nurbs' is at 140 I think, and that is one of my favs of his
-
I like this a lot...very fresh and original compared to the the current wave of generic full-on
-
Man, I love the idea and the melodies of the track, however it doesnt quite together for me, the bassline sounds a bit simple. I think with a bit more work you have makings of a great track.
-
I have to say that this one of the most original goa/psy trance albums ever made, the sound is so unique and there nothing out there like it.
Dark, but clean beautifull and melodic goa trance. Stunning!!

Antix - Lull

I think in the right settings, this album is awesome on the dancefloor, and not just for home listening.
Its a great sound, a real cascade of many sounds that combine together to produce something beautifull. My fav track is Darko, such an amazing mix of dark and light.
-
Freq's production is amazing, it really shines through during a live set.
Also a couple of other standouts for me as other people mentioned here are The Delta and Astrix.
-
I have to go against the majority here. I found this album to be nothing special, I liked the darker breakbeat tracks, but the ambient type of tunes did nothing for me.

Romania is not an ex-Soviet country, it was merely part of the old communist block.
Is this right Moni?
In any case, how can you seriously think that one such news story supports any of your arguments? Example: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/3286721.stm Does that make Germany a third world country?
You don't see any difference with this and priests (notice plural) practising exorcism? It's not like cannibalism is widely practiced in Germany. You think you can judge a country because of an individual? Maybe you should talk to a priest near you and get rid of those demons to clear your head?
You're obviously hurt and I'm sorry for that. Just because your country (I assume somewhere eastern Europe) is poor and corrupt and conservative in comparison to the west does not make you a better or worse person. It's a consequence of history and obviously things are slowly improving.
I am not hurt, I just think you are an idiot.

The Sasha edit of 'Dorset Perception' is really one of the most beautiful tracks I have heard for a long time.
No doubt the psy underground dispise the likes of mainstream 'god' DJ's/Producers like Sasha but really he is creator of fantastic music and vibes, despite the hype that surrounds him.
His latest album 'Involver' is a compilation of re-edits (incl the above) and its a diversely stunning tasteful collection of music.
Lo-Step's mix of Dorset Perception is not really a mix in a classical sense of the word. Two very successful Australian progressive producers added a breakbeat for the track to play in their live sets, the track was getting massive reactions on the dancefloors and got lots of djs interested in getting hold of it. Hence the release on vinyl.

Yes well apparently I said it. However atleast twice after that I corrected myself, no? Also you could intepret it as sarcasm and not a fact, but that wouldn't suit your needs now would it? And what is so wrong with my example? It was apparently in Womania not even 2 months ago
And if every new post makes me appear more foolish then what you are saying is that I was more right in the first place when I said: , its a 3rd world country so what do you expect? than after I corrected myself a little cos some people can't read between the lines at all..

Talking to you equates to banging my head into a brick wall. Stick to topics you actually know something about, such as psy trance.

You have said...'Well, its a 3rd world country so what do you expect?'. I dont think that open to any misinterpretation, it means exactly what it says.
Also really impressed by your ex-Soviet country priest example. Every post in this thread makes you appear more and more foolish.

I agree with that part, Entheogenic is good chill-out music, but for me the last 2 Shpongle are very different, most of the tracks are not chill-out, they have a very different feel.
It is hardly surprising that some people like one artist much more than the other, but statements such as Entheogenic is light years ahead of Shpongle are just ridiculous IMHO.

Traveller, ignorance is bliss. I agree 100% with what Reger has said. If you ever actually make an attempt to learn a bit about these countries, you will see that in many ways they are much more open minded to many things than many of the wealthier european countries. It is not a back and white issue as you describe it.
Calling Czech Replublic a third world country (btw. I am not from there, but from Russia) sounds very arrogant on your behalf, it may not be as wealthy as Finland or US, but I don't think anyone who has ever visited there will agree with you.
I hope that one day you will travel again to Eastern Europe and discover many wonderful things that those countries have to offer and then you can drop all the stereotypes that you have about them.

I've given this album so many chances by now that I think it can't grow any more on me. Robot.O.Chan is full of great sounds but Prometheus fails to arrange them into something special. I get the feeling that Prometheus is too occupied on doing smart things, rather then focusing on the vibe and story of the tracks.
There are no bad tunes on this album, but that extra something is lacking. There's just no climax. The tunes chugs along and by the end of them I'm thinking, is that it?
Something that prevents me from focusing on the numerous good sounds is the muddy bass and too loud kick, it really ruins the experience.
Prometheus' Robot.O.Chan is the biggest anti-climax of 2004.
3 / 5
I tend to agree with you. It is a very original album and the production is great, but most tracks seem to be running out of steam half way through, there is no climax and i lose interest.
Two standouts for me are OK Computer and Samothraki....great melodies in both. Wish the rest of the album was like that.
-
Have you ever even been to Eastern Europe? Corrupt it may be, but the conservative comment is plain ignorant. This comment together with calling Czech republic a 3rd world country is making you look like a complete fool.

Much inferior to the number 2 disc, the chill-out is pretty boring, only really
like the Red Seal track. The trance disc is OK, kinda monotonous, all songs
are very samey and nothing really special. Two tracks standout, the one by
Atmos and The BUS song which is a stomper. The rest, no so good.

I like the fact that he stayed away from Electro influences and produced a pure trance album. All in all, whilst this is no milestone, it is a pretty good album.
