" how do you feel being the cream of psytrance ? oh sorry, this is a skazi interview? please substitute ´cream´ for ´cow dung´ "
ask him exactly that
-
dont know any of them, sorry
-
so how good is that one? the few tracks from moonbootica I heard I thought it was really nice house stuff (I didnt know you liked house, I thought you really disliked house and prog)
-
" all I really want is you"
you know those parties that have ´hymns´, some tracks that play over and over?
so the last festival I went to, in february, this track was like THE hymn, together with Alter Ego - Rocker (and the thousand remixes of it hehe)
-
its all here man.. Frank Beckers is THE man lately.. The original is more continuous, more tech house like, while in the remix we get a more electro dirty feeling.. I really like both
This track played everywhere this year
Only nice names here.. beckers, klein and juergens.. its all good
-
it inspires awe, alright...
awe, wowification, Oh My ´God´ing and ´What The Fuck´ification
tracks 3, 6 and 8 are like: wow man, will I ever like any other music?
go go antix.. in these more ´house´ days for me, this one ´keeps me in the scene´..
one of the few cds that when I heard I could say ´fantastic!!´ (together with Ott and Kaya Project.. and a few others I dont remember)
-
trance:
ticon
phony orphants
jaia
vibrasphere
emok solo album

chill out seems very very nice ... but this dancefloor is too much KILLAAAAA, and not even one prog, from what I see...
too bad... hope someday this fullon-only party attitude will change..
anyway, have a good party

My opinion is exactly the opposite: I think the whole album gets better every time you listen to it! Actually, most Iboga albums have this quality, I think.
I was of your opinion after the first time I heard the album but it has grown a lot on me since then. Keep in mind that this was made by the same ppl who made "Lull". If they wanted to make a cd with a similar sounds or a "Lull pt2" it probably wouldn't have taken them 2 years but only 6 weeks.
Unfortunately for the Storm-bros, their debut was so highly acclaimed, that ppl wànt something in that same style. This has been the case in the past with SBK, Haldolium & many others... I think it is a characteristic of truely innovative artists NOT to give in to that & keep evolving & developping new styles of music. You can call this "selling out" but in fact it would only be selling out if they would release the same cd over & over again instead of trying to explore new sounds.
So: very addictive cd, if you ask me just like Frogacult (another Iboga gem)
At least one band (& label) you can trust not to be relaesing any 80s-gone-psy-tracks in the future !
well said
-
indeed, I didnt mean thats all there was to antix... but just some of the things that show it's not something 'poor'
-
that its definitely not a poor release...
it may not be his taste, but to call it a ´poor release´ is pretty dumb.. the production levels are huge, there´s a lot of emphasis on the details, the ´story´ that the track tells are always excellent, you can hear its all very well done... but as I said, it may not be someone´s taste, though its not something you should call ´poor´ or ´mediocre´
-
-
[opinion above disregarded]
-
Ott - Blumenkraft
Abakus - That Much Closer to The Sun
Antix - Lull
Antix - twin coast discovery (specially this one! fking great.. track 3, 6 and 8, omfukingg)
phony orphants - symphony
most of bob marley cds
hmmm what else? Im sure I forgot some non-trance ones and some chill ones too)
-
simon says... simon sucks
-
Im really impressed by this album... damn.. hahaha
fking awesome!
9.5/10
the detailsssss... ohhh the detailss....
-
I take back what I said about track 7
the whole cd is amazing
-
I pretty much think it sucks.. sorry... well ok not all the tracks sucks, but there are some ´vibes´ in some parts that just ruin it totally for me... not a masterpiece imo..
but yeah, doesnt matter its all taste anyway..
entheogenic is also not so amazing imo.. pretty good (I only listened to the second album), but nothing that makes me get goosebumps..
-
this album just gets better and better
excellent work
-
true.. never really tried finding old school ambient... my oldest ambient cd must be from 2000 I think...
Ill check some of those out and tell you what I think

sorry spindrift, but you passed a bit over the line here...
your post was very good, and then indeed you started offending EP unnecessarily.. and just because you think he offended you at some point doesnt mean its ok for you to offend it, does it? one mistake doesnt justify the other...
and this ´crap music for people who is too inhibited to dance properly, coke E blabla´ was really bullshit.. I dont think you are really closed into that opinion but im pretty sure it does have some validity in your mind... Now let me tell you something, I dont take ecstasy, I never snorted cocaine in my life and never will.. I like prog because of the details, because each sound is so important, as opposed to messy dark or full on tracks that have lots of sounds so each one doesnt seem so important imo... thats my taste, and you should respect it, just like I respect yours.. and this shit about dancing? man, thats really stupid... I was going to argue on how dumb that is but I wont, because its just too... dumb haha...
you dissapointed me man.. thought you were a bit more open minded than name-calling and justifying through someone else´s acts, and then having such a closed minded opinion about some style of music... too bad you didnt keep with that first part of your post
