  1. Obsidian Stones sounds promising, egyptian vibe going on hehe
  2. Okey after some listening (100 times now probably) , "One" track has grown for me, it has a very catchy lead melody. Strange World remix however while having some pretty good parts, I dont like the super mega long break that lasts for something like 3 minutes in it. Also the main melody goes on forever, sure its trancey but gets to repetative for my taste. If the other tracks on the album are in the same style as the "One" track then it could be interesting for me.
  3. There was a radio interview posted here some months ago i remember, and also a recent interview in Freeze Magazine.
  4. No mastering is better then bad mastering as proved with the track "Inner Cyclone" wich i have unmastered, just do a A/B test and listen to the mastered version and the original one, and you will come to the same conclusion. Thats something anyone who knows anything about mastering should do: to listen to a track before and after any possible alteration/destruction of a track. To me it sounds like aerosis just put Izotope Ozone or any other mastering plug with a limiter, and just put on a factory preset. There is nothing in the sound that shows that it has been improved in any way. Lets imagine a scenario where we can choose from three options: 1-Mastering by a professional. 2-Mastering by a Non-Professional. 3-No Mastering. Wich would you choose? I mean to really master tracks is no easy task, and not something you learn by watching some youtube videos or reading some tutorials on isratrance forum. Its something that takes years of experience. So i dont even know how people can claim they have "mastered" some tracks when in reality they have no clue about what it is they are doing. Thats what i liked with the goa trance compilations/albums in the 90´s that with the better releases, they always payed professional mastering studios with people that usually work with regular commercial music, for example Destination Goa 8: http://www.discogs.com/Various-Destination.../release/123586 wich was mastered at Polar Studios here in Sweden, wich was the recording studio of ABBA. People that have only mixed/mastered some fruity loops trance tracks at home in their bed room IS NOT and will NEVER BE considered mastering. Funny thing is how aerosis is in a agressive defense mode everytime this is discussed, IMO you deserve the critic because no one forced you to master these tracks. If you where the so called "professional mastering dude" you seem to think you are, you could have said no to master these tracks in the first place if you found them to be to badly mixed. Anyways huge effort by Mindsphere to be able to make tunes like these in such a limited program as Propellerheads Reason. It would be really nice to hear what he could do with some better tools, for example the original studio setup of Dimension 5 ;-) Flame ON :drama:
  5. Question: Answer: No. I cant stand any of the tracks on this CD. I find it to be: corny, cheesy, childish, unserious, dorky + a lot of more things wich i cant express. And yeah as pointed out allready in this thread some years ago, the samples are ridiculous. The Wizard Demo is just a lol..
  6. You are right, sorry i got it confused
  7. lol The description/bio sounds so fast and try to much that i get headache.. btw in case you didnt notice, in all your exitement you posted it in the wrong forum section. And i guess its superimportant for everyone to know that this artists is kiler on the piano.. yeah because he will probably play the piano live to his kilerz darkpsi trex.
  8. Okey, now show us how to make some of that fast super evil hardcore drakula-psy, because that would look even more simple.
  9. I love phasers, gonna check this out.. I will give my opinion on it after some testing Smartelectronix Exoscope is really good as well.
  10. lol Anyways bromo dragonfly is a crap drug that is getting quite popular here in Sweden and people tend to confuse it with acid. Its just crap long high, like 24 hours some times.. and the effect is like a dirty acid trip, not as visual more of a mind fuck. Some people here have died from it and others have got deformed body parts from overdosing it. Like toes and fingers falling of etc. Im not saying that any drug is good but this one sure takes the price of shitty drugs, and especially since it is sold by idiots as acid.
  11. Heh im not bashing anyone, just stating that i dont like cartoon stuff in psy trance, about alien-ish tracks from Miraculix, i dont know because i havent heard any of them, i have only heard some tracks on his myspace by coincidense before as i was surfing around myspace. And among those or perhaps from samples on his site i heard a remix of the inspector gadget theme.. and that was enough for me So whats the name of the alien-ish tracks? Are they the ones that are available for download? l And about the drug bromo dragonfly, i actually agree with Miraculix.. because its a real shitty drug. Isnt real acid good enough? Why bother with fake alternatives? IMHO
  12. Its a nice flower, nothing wrong with that i have it as wallpaper sometimes thats why i recognized it, btw track list looks nice. Looking forward to hear the RA track.
  13. Hmm psychedelic and remixes of Inspector Gadget theme? Thats more Comic-Trance IMO when i think of it, maybe its an all new psy sub genre "clown trance" wich we have seen a lot lately, Talpa album has a clown theme, Pandemonium! has a clown theme, and now also Sienes has some clown stuff going, maybe it all started with Hallucinogens Gamma Goblins track? It was very popular with cartoon references in Nitzhonot i remember, Luminus for example with samples from "Road Runner" etc.. I dont know, i find it a bit to silly with these kind of things in psy trance, stuff like tetris remixes and video game remixes.. no mystic at all.
  14. Maybe they could get sponsored by Apple or Jack Daniels Can you spot the bottle? :drama: Funny thing is that the bottle is all empty, must be be a hard job waving the hands tiesto style, probably makes one very thirsty
  15. @ shaman of sound, Thanks for the brief story about Astrals situation, it gives a little perspective. And it makes sense, especially the part about the labels + bookings, so basically BNE probably where mad because they didnt get some percent of money from the live shows, strange however that Phonokol didnt care to find bookings for them and try to get some money from that... but hey what do we know really about what goes on behind the labels doors if they manage to release the album on their own label Trust In Trance Records, then the circle is closed since thats where it began.. oh wait.. "Time began with the universe" :drama: Imagine if Yaniv Haviv would return to the group and guide them back to the old style
  16. lol seems like a killarghh cd
  17. Somewhere out there 2004 is fucking great! Heard it live here in Sweden some months ago
  18. I dont see MFG-The Message and Goa Head VOL 13 in the 2001 section. Maybe im just blind And i dont see: Solar Quest-Acid Air Raid in the 1994 section wich is acid trance, but still very influential to the sound of a lot of the goa trance that came after.
  19. One choirs sample library that is very popular is the Spectrasonics Symphony Of Voices in AKAI format, highly recommended.. if you are good on the keys you can make it sound like angels singing or something So you are partially right, a lot of people use these kind of samples loaded into their work stations, (kurzweil, and korg etc) But today with all the software samplers its of course possible to load them into for example the halion sampler in cubase. Here are some sound demos on their site: http://www.spectrasonics.net/libraries/symphonyvoices.php Also i recommend that you get the software: CDXtract, if you dont ready have it. With it you can convert sample libraries to different formats.
  20. Good review abasio, its not easy to put words to feelings one gets from listening to good music, but you have managed to capture it well.
  21. Yes BNE is indeed kaput :drama: it havent gone by unnoticed on different forums. (isratrance forum) etc And as I said above, Astral Projection was always very commercially successfull, and and really reached out to a broad audience. Nothing bad with that, but who knows the entire album might have some surprises and its not everytime an album or some tracks makes sense after a few listens. However im still not impressed by the tracks linked to in this thread. And the video of One doesnt make the thing any better And Anoebis, yes Yahels-Waves Of Sound album is indeed very good I have it right here, to me it is a bit like a Israeli version of Man With No Name album Moment Of Truth. What i like a lot with Waves Of Sound album is the key changes and lead sounds, MDMA trance Sun Scream = Killer I dont wanna sound to negative, but the Astral guys has really set a high bar with their earlier albums, and my dissapointment was very big with the Amen album and Ten album, the last album i bought with Astral Projection was "In the mix" wich had some good tracks IMO "Flying Into A Star(Ast-Roid Remix) and "Virtual Booster" So i tend to think that the In the mix was the last proper "album" and this was in year 2000, nine years ago. Believe me when i say these guys have inspired me a lot and i love their earlier albums. No easy task for them to beat their own old music in terms of quality. btw Astral either left BNE or got booted due to disagreements of some sort, i remember that they posted a bulletin about it on myspace and this was before BNE went "kaput" someone else might share som more info about that?
