  1. There must surely be more out there? I have revised the list with some changes.
  2. That's a good sign, abandon logic. Sometimes we tend to over-analyze way too much, so that it becomes a hindrance to enjoyment. The idea that we shouldn't enjoy certain styles/genres, for whatever reason is our own preconception playing a trick on us, as long as it grooves and grabs your attention, it does something right I guess. That should be further explored. I find myself very often even skipping tracks on compilations, because "that artist shouldn't be able to make something I like" which is such a bad habit, I miss out on lots of great tracks because of that, but I'm working on it.
  3. Listening through Goldenfinger's album F1nd One on Eutuchia, so far so good. The Israeli way of uplifting melodies
  4. This one I haven't heard, very curious to hear how the sound developed since the entry before this one.
  5. This one was great as well I remember,, can't find it anywhere either online unfortunately. *edit* it's on spotify!
  6. Arrrgh the annoying feeling when a compilation is impossible to find online, if only they would've uploaded this to a torrent The joy of dead rapidshare links. Been on a bit of a greek uplifting listening spree lately on youtube, the track by Airesis, still holds up today. I was quite suprised as well to hear an uplifting track by one of the Radical Distortion members from his uplifting project Asinar, solid stuff. Euthuchia Records should upload their catalog to spotify and bandcamp. I fint it extremely interesting to listen to how these Greek artists compose melodies, it's a very different approach compared to the Israeli goa melodies for example. *edit* I know found out that their entire catalog is available on the beatport platform, too bad I never used it. And besides they changed the previously free compilations to paid ones. And yay I also found it on spotify! Found nothing when searching for Eutuchia Records/Music, but upon searching for Sanga - Isis I found that comp. Yay their entire catalog is on spotify after all it seems. Someone should make a playlist with all of the releases.
  7. lmao@ above post On a more serious note and regarding the topic of the thread, it's quite a journey they've made from the early Shidapu days with tracker based music, to the broader commercial appeal they enjoy today. What I think was evident atleast from the early Infected Mushroom era, was that there was a huge cross-over potential, certainly for their tracks with more acoustic elements in them. I think those type of sounds naturally has a broader appeal, that is piano, guitar and acoustic drum sounds. Combined with pop-like arrangements/chord structures. And when they adopted commercial EDM textures to the mix, I think they hit their homerun with the general public. That is dubstep infusions and other modern EDM staples, like trap music and so on. And as long as they add a layer of the most current EDM-trend to their music, they should be good with that crowd. And let's not forget the vocals, when they became sing-a-long friendly, that must surely have been the defining moment. You just knew when you saw live videos from their early concerts, when they played their tracks which the psy crowd was singing along to, that something had changed completely. I'm thinking about the "I Wish" era. That's when psy became pop, and perhaps we might hear some Britney-Psy in the future? What I would be curious to hear, would be if Erez would go solo, or perhaps venture into movie or video game soundtracks. They might perhaps already have done some of that? I can definitely see Erez working as a producer/composer in the future for other artists in various genres in Los Angeles/Hollywood. I think that could be a logical step to take if the touring life becomes too tiresome. I almost forgot, Infected Mushroom are quite successful it seems as well in the music plug-ins/effects market in which they collaborate with the music plug-in developer Polyverse Music. Some rather interesting and unique ideas there so far.
  8. I copy and paste this here as this thread is more active, which I wrote in the Pleiadians I.F.O 2015 DAT Records review thread: To those that own this and the Etnica - Live In Athens, which live album is better according to you? Of course two very different albums, but in terms of creation, they differ I think. Since the Etnica one wasn't a planned recording I suppose, from what I read in the sleeve on discogs.
  9. Thanks! I was wondering if the corona situation was somehow affecting the label's operation. Which I wrote in another thread with a video interview with Draeke by psynews I think.
  10. The best releases so far for my taste in no particular order: Athena - Single Collection, Mystica - Age Of Innocence, Mystica - Single Collection, Prana - Cyclone. You can't go wrong with Shakta either. Curious to know which releases other think are the best/essential so far?
  11. I'm always late to the party it seems, as I've still not heard the extra stuff this release added, seems like a treasure trove of goodies. A proper Goa Trance deluxe bundle right there. Classic stuff plus unreleased live-mixes? Sounds like one helluva value-pack to me. Makes me wonder if there might be some old DAT-tapes in existence with live versions of the Crop Circles - Tetrahedron tracks? Perhaps they never played live? To those that own this and the Etnica - Live In Athens, which live album is better according to you? Of course two very different albums, but in terms of creation, they differ I think. Since the Etnica one wasn't a planned recording I suppose, from what I read in the sleeve on discogs. Another thing this album made me think about, is what other alienesque old school albums are there? The one's I could think of are: Crop Circles - Tetrahedron, UX - Ultimate Experience, Hallucinogen - Twisted, MFG - Project Genesis.
  12. This label seem to have some goodies as well: https://www.discogs.com/label/7664-Balloonia-Ltd Sublabel to Hadshot Haheizar
  13. Pretty covers, one is more pretty IMO than the other. Rather unique style. A bit darker/enigmatic. Than the usual cover artworks of the era.
  14. Interesting I haven't owned/heard those yet, and I'm curious to hear Avi Nissim's mixing skills never heard him DJ. And also I never heard Erez Eisen DJ either.
  15. Since we don't have an official statement yet, it opens up for speculation. I don't know what happened, and hopefully it will be solved somehow. It's fantastic music in those very unique releases that were removed from bandcamp etc. The Crop Circles/Etnica/Pleiadians DNA was always at the core of what this label was about. It started with Crop Circles after all. Perhaps the involved parts are still in negotiations regarding the distribution? Hence perhaps why Draeke has maintained a low profile? Anyhow silence speaks too sometimes. Hopefully we will get some news soon. I'm sure Draeke reads this thread every once in a while. Atleast the lucky ones who got the releases on CD/Vinyl before all they got removed might be sitting on a treasure, if demand is high and the prints were low? I have no clue about how many copies were printed/sold. But the goa projects of these Italian artists were certainly always very popular among collectors.
  16. I'm currently going through all the relevant releases on Phonokol. what other labels are there to check out? I know of Krembo. psydb.net is quite useful and clear for this type of label research, I tried my best to remove all releases which are full-on and newer. 17. Welcome to the forum, and yes there is quite a lot of interesting releases these days. This forum can be a very good starting point, to see what's out there. Enjoy your stay.
  18. Gonna try this one which I found in the review section: https://www.discogs.com/Guy-Sebbag-Goa-Tel-Aviv/release/65786
  19. So I'm doing some research into the subject, and it's kind of difficult to find photos from the era nowadays. There used to be great photos on the sites of the artists/groups, but most sites are of course dead by now or updated with the latest stuff. And there was also quite often gear lists. There is one group on facebook that has some old school goa studio photos, but the selection and quality is a bit uneven. And not focused specifically on old school. If anyone has photos from the old maestros studios of yesteryear, it would be much appreciated .There is some on discogs as well, the ones I could find I will add to to this topic. Dimension 5 old studio, from their facebook. Not clear at which members place the studio was located. Gear I spot: Moog Source 2x Korg Prophecy Roland TB-303 Roland MC-202 Roland SH-5 Maybe a Roland JP-8000, very blurry photo hard to tell. Moog Minimoog Soundcraft Spirit Mixing Desk? Some unidentified synthesizers and a rack full of effects, as well as a smaller unidentified mixing desk. Monitors or speakers of unknown brand. Miranda, not sure what studio it is. Looks like a soundcraft spirit mixing desk, photo from discogs. Edi Mis, from facebook group. A Waldorf Rack synth? Some Akai Sampler Roland Juno-106 2x Roland TB-303 Unknown effects units and mixing desk. Cosmosis from facebook group. Clavia Nord Rack Korg Prophecy Unknown effect units and mixing desk
