Dear Suntrippers! We can announce our next CD-release on Suntrip Records! We will release a new big talent from Russia: Median Project! I would describe him as a mix between Mindsphere and Astral projection! Powerful, epic melodies and a lot of acid303s on top of it! Check the samples! Next week we will put the pre-order on bandcamp! : https://www.suntriprecords.com/release/cat/SUNCD56/

I guess most of you are mistaked. It's about mixing not the mastering. Katedra himself has always had this style of mixing: bassy, muddy, industrial. I know because we collaborated long ago on 'Magic Science & Imba - Ghost Town' where he was part of Magic Science, and you can hear his style in the track. Even if I am not, nor personaly nor professionaly for it/this style of mixing, I support and respect his ideas and presentation of his music. And important thing is freedom which not many labels give you these days but Global Sect does which is amazing. In most cases when I finish and send premasters to label they say 'It's too clean', 'It's more Fullon than Goa', or it's not clean enough or buyers prefer more this or that bla bla bla... here Katedra had complete freedom to express himself musical and production wise. Just relax and enjoy in what he delivers to you as his own Goa Trance without genre/style rules and boundaries

Today we released our first Single Collection on Classic Goa Trax! It has vinyl only music and very rare compilation tracks on it by Four Carry Nuts! (Probably better known as a side project of Tim Schuldt, together with Gilgamesj). This release is clearly more dirty, powerful, industrial and rough as your usual goa-trance, but we know some people love this more hard style! The first 6 tracks are all from the 90s, after that the style becomes a bit more technoish/industrial around 2000! But with our label we want to be open for all kinds of psychedelic music released in the 90s and 2000! 1. Four Carry Nuts - Weird Egg - 1996 2. Four Carry Nuts - Grapefruit - 1996 3. Four Carry Nuts - Nuts Without Sugar - 1997 4. Four Carry Nuts - Donuts - 1997 5. Four Carry Nuts - Total Recall - 1997 6. Four Carry Nuts - Kay Sea Isle - 1998 7. Four Carry Nuts - Lucy (Female Mix) - 1999 8. Four Carry Nuts - Pflanzenfett - 2000 - Vinyl Only 9. Four Carry Nuts - Professor Hastig - 2000 10.Four Carry Nuts - Lucy (Male) - 2000 11.Four Carry Nuts ft. Dino Psaras - Bunker - 2000 https://classicgoatrax.bandcamp.com/album/four-carry-nuts-single-collection

Please let's not talk about how to make money, we all know about house ,gigs, etc. I mean that sharing other artists work without their permission is plain wrong and should not be considered as normal and usual thing.

If it was only the cd, you are 100% right. The reason why Mars brings this up every six months is because at least 3 (!!) people we know, are still waiting on a refund of 500€ for not showing up on events. Its like a "reminder" for other organisers. Scroll back somewhere here for the full story I love his music, but he should be serious about people's money, and not doing so is seriously damaging our scene. I think, in todays world, too much unserious behaviour is somehow accepted, and thats sad. We shouls stand up against stuff like this! (cfr so many festivals). In the end, being honest and fair should be "normal", and stealing should be condemned.

Acid Destroyers is the new project between Ohm Mind (Belgium) and Laughing Space Devil (Switzerland), who are two producers of Goa Trance since many years. This project began in 2016 in Switzerland before one of the parties at the famous Havanna Club in Altdorf. They meet each other a lot to produce, as the first experiments resulted in already 1 hour of good music. You can expect a lot of acid lines with some twisted trance melody and evil atmosphere. They have released an EP on spacedock records with 3 tracks since the 15.05. https://spacedockrecords.bandcamp.com/album/sddg016-acid-destroyers-monsters-and-mad-man-ep Tracklist : 1. Universal Language - 144BPM 2. Ohm Devil - 148BPM 3. Monsters And Mad Man Stay tuned

+1. space juice was such a warm gust of wind when it came out, because goa trance had been plagued with absoulte garbage for like 3 years straight. so finally we get space juice which is a very refined version of 2003 goa trance. and axis flip.... thats just a beast of its own, what a monster. his best track hands down, and i listen to it several times per year =)

axis flip and space juice are among my favourite mwnn tracks. the rest is good too (the only track from the album that doesn't get lots of playtime is lights out). i do. regularly. i really wish he had made more music like this.

sounds good. i think i'll like this more than his uptempo music.

''Wise men have interpreted dreams, and the gods have laughed.'' Neogoa Records is proud to present Celephaïs - 4th studio album by French artist and producer Jerome Lesterps (better known as Proxeeus). Since his debut album At The Mountains Of Madness was released back in the summer of 2015. at Neogoa Records, Jerome established himself as one of the leading Goa trance producers working nowdays, releasing two more albums at Goa Madness Records and presenting his vision of acidic Goa music around the globe to his growing following. Music on Celephaïs was composed during the last three years and it's heavily influenced by HP Lovecraft's novels, especially with Dream Cycle. It foucuses around the subject of dreams where music depicts an abstract image filled with elements of fear, horror and mysticism through the 77 minutes of new material. Celephaïs is a step-back from the usual high-paced Proxeeus sound, it brings more experimentation and exploration of ambient and downtempo sub-genre, but still keeping a Goa trance as a basis for his musical work. Pre-order it on Bandcamp: http://bit.ly/Celephais Digital version releases May 5, 2019 CD version releases May 25th, 2019 Tracklist: 01 - Celephaïs 02 - Hypnos 03 - Polaris 04 - Dreamlands 05 - Hideous Life, Painful Dreams 06 - Serannian 07 - The Silver Key 08 - Akariel All tracks written and produced by Jerome Lesterps (France) web: www.proxeeus.net Mastering by Igor Čeranić at Deimos Soundlabs (Croatia) web: www.deimos-soundlabs.net Artwork design and concept by Ivan Parić (Croatia) web: www.neogoa.net

Yeah, I think the less splitting the better.

I suspect one of the main issues would be that in reality, most releases are actually multi-format. Most vinyl releases are available as downloads, many as CDs too. I'd also say that the main topics of any release discussion (before/after) are: that the release is/was happening the music itself (+ maybe linking it to the artist's / label's other production etc.) So, there are very few releases that would be strictly vinyl-only and fairly few discussion points that would actually concern the vinyl format itself. If there's a vinyl+digital release, where would we put it? Directing digital buyers to a vinyl subforum would feel wrong. Splitting the discussion to two different places would be worse. What would we do in the vinyl forum topic? Discuss just the pressing while avoiding all references to the music? Meanwhile, it could be informative to have the formats listed in post tags. However, my realistic prediction is that even if that was requested/recommended, the success rate would be less than 10%. Copy-paste announce-bots won't do that, and "normal users" aren't consistent with their tag use either. I browse the forum almost exclusively through the "Activity" -button.

Artist: Ephedra Title: Journey Through My Head Label: Goa Madness Records Date: October, 2014 1. We Are Not Alone 2. Beyond Spaces 3. Crispy Biscuits 4. Souls In Trance 5. The Walk of the Little Green Man 6. Little Molecules 7. Experiments 8. Bubblized 9. Smiling Sun (2013 Edit) Wow. Just...wow. Did anyone see this coming? Goa Madness Records is one of the new kids on the block and this label has had quite the beginning. Their first release was a compilation called Memories From Goa Madness. They played it safe and it was tried and true goa trance. Nah, it was better than that in this reviewer's opinion. So fresh off the success of that release they drop this bomb on us. This is the debut album of Alexandre Cohen and it is beautiful. So many swirling melodies and those acid sounds are verily delicious. Set your phasers to maximum twirling because this is a journey that catches you up and doesn't let go. Twists and turns abound and the sound is terrific. It's a full and rich atmosphere with screeching leads and layers of immeasurable beauty. I'm sorry I don't have anything funny to say or silly gifs to post. This is just a fantastic release and rightly deserves consideration for goa trance album of the year. Superb job my friend. Psyshop Beatspace Mdk

Go for old Imaginary Sight, he made some splendid music. Taigan Sunset from Sweden is good too... But in all honesty, as far as my standards go, there is so much to what the term 'Forest Goatrance/Goa Foresttrance' has potential to be. These days it's quite one dimensional music for the most part and doesn't really resonate with the word 'forest' at all. But 'Sir Kuch' () is on the mission rest assured...

I thought I was clear, haha Lets write it again: " Digital re-releases of classic goa-trance albums, vinyls and singles! " No cds planned for now... Already too much going on with Suntrip, I cant combine working full time with all this

Actually, we are thinking of asking 8€ for a full cd on bandcamp for Classic Goa Trax. But that will depend a bit on artists. I am sure some albums can be found cheaper on other places, but the artists get 0€ out of it and mostly it is simply labels trying to get some money illegally... Not sure you want to support that? Edit: I just checked your link: it is 8€ as well, no?

After many feedbacks about "too much bass in mastering" of our new release, we made a little upgrade. Its not big different, but we fixed some important things. Listen: https://globalsect.bandcamp.com/album/katedra-we-are-not-alone But, let us introduce you to some things about our job. For this album, we made not only mastering but mixing too. Mastering - it's when the music maker sends to sound engineer the WAV file -6db, no limiter etc. And he tries to make it maximum ideal. Mixing - it's when the music maker sends to sound engineer all the elements of the track (kick, bass, leads, fxs etc.) and he makes better EQ balance. And after this mastering. Here's the list of the tracks with mixing by Dimitro Alienapia (One Day Mastering Studio), and we think he is the big professional: 1. Psy-H Project - Exhalation of Mahavishnu 2. Psy-H Project – Spiritual Experience 3. Psy-H Project - In A Shade Of Dadrrount'got 4. Psy-H Project - Second Coming 5. Psy-H Project - Boloto Trip 6. Psy-H Project - Infernal Candyflip 7. Psy-H Project - Active Meditation 8. Psy-H Project - Chatlane 9. Psy-H Project vs. Alienapia - Ramayana 10. Psy-H Project - Infinite Freedom 11. Psy-H Project - Crystal Worlds 12. Centavra Project - Capsula 13. Imba & Somnesia - Astral Travellers 14. Psy-H Project - Dark Matter 15. Celestial Intelligence - Crystal Gazer 16. Psy-H Project - Precession Of The Universe 17. Nova Fractal & OXI & E-Mantra - Stargate 18. Centavra Project - Terraformer 19. Centavra Project - Strange Object 20. Psy-H Project - The Essence of Bhagavat-Gita 21. Atlantis - Sacred Mantra 22. Fiery Dawn - Searching For UFOs (Median Project Rmx) 23. Omneon - Indian Walk 24. Median Project - The Third Element 25. Raving Universe - Ascension 26. Psy-H Project – Gaura Nitay 27. Centavra Project - Journey To Another Worlds (Mix 2017) 28. Atlantis - Space Mantra 29. Slow Reflections - In a Rain Drop 30. Median Project - Heaven and Earth (Omneon rmx) 31. Katedra - The MoonShip (mix 2019) 32. Katedra - First Contact 33. Katedra - Ring of Fire 34. Katedra - Nagual 35. Katedra - You Are Not Alone 36. Katedra - Alienated Hallucination 37. Katedra - Radiointerference (mix 2019) 38. Katedra - The Edge Of Spaces So, like you can see it's a serious amount of job, and it's the one of main reason why people think that Global Sect music has nice quality. Sometimes we have mistakes because it's a very hard job, but anyway, we fixed and saved many tracks. For Katedra we were making mixing for 3 months, but we made a little mistake in the last step. Now, our plan is: All the people who bought digital versions can download the new version from the collection. All the people who bought CDs will get 2 versions. First, we will send copies with "bass" mastering and after that, we will reprint CDs and send new copies. We think it will be nice for the collection because in the world will be only 40 copies with the first version of mastering. P.S. my favorite track after fixed sound is Nagual

If “souls in trance” doesn’t put a smile on your face I don’t know what will. Superb! Still enjoying this album so much.

agreed. and while i find the faithhealer's remix so-so, genesis is really good. so i cannot complain at all here.
  44. 1 point
My assumption is that Genesis simply fits better. While I do enjoy the Faithhealer's remix from the original Lazarus Rising, the addition of Genesis fits the overarching theme of this album better.
  45. 1 point
a very strong contender for the album of the year 2019. and that's true even when you don't count the tracks previously released as lazarus rising. there is nothing standard about this album, it's not just a psytrance release, it is a piece of art. while i don't like everything (temple of love with the singing is too much gothic and too little psy for me), this is a matter of taste and not of quality. the only downside i see is that the way this album is mixed makes it sound better on speakers (even cheaper ones) than on my headphones. it's the exact opposite for 99% of the music i ever listen to. i guess it'd sound great on a festival rig tough. i'd love to hear jezebel at the dancefloor on a big system.

Hey, thanks for your comment and input regarding the album. I'm just curious to see which tracks you're reffering to as the ones having the commercial bassline. Since there are many, you can list few of them and if possible dig some examples in commercial psytrance music. Cheers
